This contract involved the construction of a new 33KV primary control building and transformer compound. This contract allowed for the construction of a second transformer plinth for future use. Our contract provided a full construction package from groundworks to final handover.

The schemes involved the following work elements:

  • Reduced level dig and removal of contaminated waste off-site
  • Breakdown of C.F.A. piles with pile cropper
  • Construction of reinforced concrete raft slab and walls
  • Construction of reinforced concrete blast wall and transformer plinths
  • Power floated slab, service trenches and cable pits
  • Fabrication and installation of galvanised support steelwork to 33kV cells
  • Cavity wall construction
  • Pre cast concrete roof slabs
  • Flat roof construction with associated insulation and felt laid to falls
  • Petrol interceptor and external drainage
  • Interior decoration to substation
