This contract involved the construction of a new 33KV primary control building and transformer compound. This contract allowed for the construction of a second transformer plinth for future use. Our contract provided a full construction package from groundworks to final handover.
The schemes involved the following work elements:
- Reduced level dig and removal of contaminated waste off-site
- Breakdown of C.F.A. piles with pile cropper
- Construction of reinforced concrete raft slab and walls
- Construction of reinforced concrete blast wall and transformer plinths
- Power floated slab, service trenches and cable pits
- Fabrication and installation of galvanised support steelwork to 33kV cells
- Cavity wall construction
- Pre cast concrete roof slabs
- Flat roof construction with associated insulation and felt laid to falls
- Petrol interceptor and external drainage
- Interior decoration to substation
