Project: Wallerscote Sub Station


Client: Barhale Construction


This contract involved the construction of a new 33KV primary control building and transformer compound.

This contract allowed for the construction of a second transformer plinth for future use.

Our contract provided a full construction package from groundworks to final handover.



The schemes involved the following work elements:


● Reduced level dig and removal of contaminated waste offsite


● Breakdown of C.F.A piles with pile cropper


● Construction of reinforced concrete raft slab and walls


● Construction of reinforced concrete blast wall and transformer plinths


● Power floated slab, service trenches and cable pits


● Fabrication and installation of galvanised support steelwork to 33KV cells


● Cavity wall construction


● Pre cast concrete roof slabs


● Flat roof construction with associated insulation and felt laid to falls


● Petrol interceptor and external drainage


● Interior decoration to substation
